Sam Sandweiss was born and raised in sunny Tucson, Arizona. While only in high school, Sam won $10,000 for creating a 30-second commercial for Entertainment Publications. Since then Sam has attended college at USC's School of Cinematic Arts, where he double majored in Film Production and Interactive Media & Games. His film thesis, entitled Takanakuy (2014 dir. Austin Kolodney), won a Student Emmy for Best Comedy in 2015.

After school, Sam spent a year at Breakwater Studios as their Head of Production where he oversaw content creation for Syfy, Charles Schwab, Unity 3D and more. As a freelancer editor and assistant editor Sam has worked for a variety of companies and brands including ATTN, Caviar Content, Samsung, A&E, REI, Planned Parenthood, Roc Nation, Dun & Bradstreet, and many more. 

Now, Sam is the Co-Founder and producer at Godmother Industries (GMI), a boutique film production company that specializes in genre filmmaking. GMI has just completed their first feature film, Head Count, which is slated to start its festival run in 2018.
